Robert W. Turner

Mr. Turner has practiced law in Denver for 43 years and has emphasized the practice of claimant’s workers’ compensation law and Social Security disability law since 1976.  For the last ten years he has, additionally, practiced in Colorado Springs and Pueblo as well.  “Injured workers under our system are taken advantage of by the insurance carriers and self-insureds, and it is mandatory for the lawyer representing you to know and understand all of the laws and rules that govern a claim so the injured workers benefits are maximized.   Additionally, your attorney needs to not only be willing to fight for your benefits and to spend the time to hear your story and put your best interests ahead of all others, but also be able to advise you what he believes is in your best interests.”

A graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Denver College of Law, Mr. Turner has been recognized as an expert in workers’ compensation law by the District Courts of the State of Colorado, has testified many times before the State Legislature, has served on interim committees regarding workers’ compensation, and has been recognized by his peers as outstanding in the handling of workers’ compensation cases for Claimants in the State of Colorado.   He believes that a successful attorney handling injured workers cases for workers’ compensation or Social Security disability is measured not only by the amount of compensation and disability benefits awarded but how the attorney has helped the injured claimant navigate the pitfalls and heartache associated with the minimal benefits which injured workers are entitled to under our scheme of benefits.  He gets particularly offended by insurance carriers and self-insured employers who do not treat the injured worker with decency and respect.

Bob Turner previously was President of the law firm of Turner and Meiklejohn, P.C. and since has been the Manager and President of Robert W. Turner, LLC. Prior to forming Turner, Roepke & Mueller, LLC, Mr. Turner was additionally of counsel at Steven U. Mullens, P.C.  Mr. Turner is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations, and is licensed to practice before the Colorado and Federal District and Appellate Courts for the District of Colorado and the 10th Circuit.
